Dare to Brave it at The Little Gloster

Brave the wintry weather tomorrow at The Little Gloster for their Dare to Brave it swim in aid of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. There's a 200m race or a 'Best Fancy Dress Dip' competition - either way we advise plenty of goose fat! The swim is part of a Christmas Market with local stall holders and food and drink. The market runs from 14.00 to 17.00 on Sunday 25th at The Little Gloster in Gurnard. Dare to brave it

Congratulations VSR2 - Record Breaker

The amazing news coming back from Namibia over the weekend is that the team from Vestas Sail Rocket 2 are celebrating smashing the world sailing speed record under wind power.

VSR2, built in East Cowes blew away the competition with an average of 59.23 knots over 500 metres and a peak speed of over 63 knots. Although the record has yet to be ratified by the WSSRC, Paul Larsen announced the team's success on Twitter with the immortal words "we've smashed the arse off it!"
